A Beginner's Guide to Cycle Syncing
I used to think I was doing something wrong.
One week I'd have all the energy in the world. I'd eat healthy without thinking about it, get my workouts in, and feel like I had my life together.
Then the next week, I'd be hungry all the time. I'd feel tired, unmotivated, and somehow guilty for not being productive. Then guilty on top of that because surely that meant that I pushed too hard last week.
I kept asking myself, "Why can't I be consistent?”
The only time I ever gave myself permission to slow down was during my period. Because, I was taught that week was really the only time I had an excuse to be lazy. Funny how we call being in physical pain lazy, buttt I digress.
I hate to sound corny.
But, learning about cycle syncing changed my life.
It helped me realize that I'm not meant to feel, eat, or perform the same way every single week. My body has different needs in different phases of my cycle. This knowledge gave me the ‘permission’ I needed to really feel my body and let it lead.
That tiny realization has given me so much more grace for myself.
I don't want other women or young girls growing up thinking they're lazy, undisciplined, or doing something wrong just because their body is asking for something different this week than it did last week.
I created these free cycle syncing guides because in the beginning its a lot to remember, especially if you are like I was and ignore your tiredness..
Screenshot them, save them to your phone, or print them out.
My hope is that they become a little reminder to stop fighting your body and start understanding it.
When you stop expecting your body to be the same every week, you can make the most of the strengths each phase brings.
